I have 2 of them. I have had them for 4 months. I put them in the tank, the day the water went in. My friend lost a tank, do to power outage and he was going to lose them anyway. Luckily they are doing great! I did put 160 lbs of cured LR and 50lbs of LS in.

when you start adding corals watch the flame angel as he may nip at them. Otherwise i love your tank. Can wait to see it with corals! keep up the good work

Wow! do you guys think that I am overstocked with fish? I didn't realize how many fish I have, until I was looking at the picture.
2 inch yellow tang
5 inch hippo tang
4 inch kole tang
flame angel
coral beauty
jaw fish
1 inch perc clown
1.5 inch perc clown
royal gramma
purple firefish
six lined wrasse
4 inch fox face
WOW, again! I have never really counted my fish. I just kept adding!
Now I'm worried.... What do you guys think? I still wanted to add a Mandarin later on down the road as well. I do have a 40 gallon sump, with a great protein skimmer, UV sterilizer and soon to be added Refugium.

You are slightly overstocked, but dont worry, it can work. Just do weekly 30% water changes and you'll be fine. Nice tank BTW!

Amazing aquascaping! Great job, but you shouldn't have two dwarf angels even in such a big tank.

I know I shouldn't, but they have gotten along fine. The coral beauty and the flame angel actually hang out by each other all day and night. It's weird, but it's been like that for 3 months.

I also kept a flame angel and a coral beauty angel in a 125 with no issues. They are now in a 215, and still no issues. They don't even pay attention to each other.

There are a lot of 'you shouldn'ts' in this hobby...but a lot of them are based on a MILLION things. You also aren't 'supposed' to keep 10 tangs together, but I do it successfully.

I agree! You always hear what you should and shouldn't do, but most of the time its just good advice. There are exceptions to the rule, as there always will be. Some species absolutely shouldn't be together, and others you hear shouldn't sometimes get along just fine, which I'm sure you're aware. :joy: I've heard advice that was based on belief, and not based on actual experiences. Also, as long as you have great filtration and keep an eye on your water quality, it looks to me like you should be fine with the amount of fish you have. Remember that as they grow, however, they will produce more waste. Tank looks great!!
