First protien skimmer help

Hello all,
I am planning on buying my first protein skimmer for my 55G. What are the bigggest differences and what should I be looking for? I've seen some that claim to fit a 150G for around $90 and I've seen some for 60G that run $200. I'm looking to try to stay around the $100 range but just picking your brains on what to look for or maybe one you have that you like. Thanks

Do you have a sump? Do you have space in a sump? Are you only looking at hang on back skimmers? Gotta know a little more.

Just get an ASM-G Mini-G for $120, great skimmer, great value, you won't be sorry.

Agree nice skimmer for the price......They do perform....

or, if you happen to know any sump designs for a tempered glass aquarium, can't drill an overflow hole and am a little leary of the overflow boxes. Any thoughts on either?
