First saltwater tank

Hello,
I bought a 52 gallon tank the other day and I want to make it a saltwater tank but don't know how. So if there's anyone that can help me out and give me some good advice on getting a good filter so I can get started would really help.

Hi and welcome to the site. Before you get started, i suggest that you do alot of Reading on how cycling your tank works. All the equipment that you must have in order to keep a saltwater tank healthy. It can be a little overwhelming at first especially if you don't know what you are doing. This is a great site and you can learn alot from here, just do alot of research first.. Good luck!

So you have your tank now! Whats next?
Well now you read and research what you can accomplish with your size tank. Will it be a Fish Only with Live Rock or a Reef Aquarium. The reason i say this, so you can obtain the propper equipment for the use. Get your substrate, powerheads, lights, sump, skimmer, etc before dumping tap water and calling it done!
Also look into where or how you will get RO/DI water for your system.
