first sign of mating

Hello all,
since i bought my two clowns they have been swiming seperatelly but since two days ago they started to swim togerther and today after the lighs were shut off they were in a small 'cave' together , they never done this before....could this mean anything?

could mean that they are pairing up and maybe some babies in the future

Sounds like they are a bonded pair.
The first sign of mating will be when they start meticulously cleaning a flat surface.

well last night i saw them right above the ground swiming in one place seems like their fins were against the sand.... :thinking:

i say that the first sign that will tell u that you have a mated pair is eggs. Because i had a pair of ocellaris who would also clean a segment of a rock and would always be in that general area, and no eggs. Now i have a pair of true percs and out of no where... Eggs. so i think the most accurate sign is seeing the eggs themselves
