well... i have been reading a few posts on here... and it seems that a fish treated w/ hyposalinity get slowly introduced back to regular salinty over the course of a few days..
the lfs i go to has very low salt in their tanks (the meter dosen't even rise on their water)
i take about 2 hrs to acclimate the fish back up to a 1.020
now some fish i had would die a week later, and some have lived... could this be why? should i really introduce higher salt levels over a period of days?
thanx
(keeping in mind my water parameters are in check)

yes, heres a rule of thumb when dealing in a drip acclimation...pour the water and fish into an empty designated container, mark your water line, then add a hose that runs into the container and tie a knot in the end of it, loosen or tighten to get about 2-3 drops per second, if it is a real big swing of salinity make it 2, then measure the line from the bottom. when the water line has doubled, id prefer triple really in a big swing like that he should be good to go!

edit:make sure the store gives you enough water to completely submerse your new fishy when in the container

sorry another edit: i use a "critter carrier" that you can get for liek 10 or 15 bucks from a ***** and such, its transparent and easy to mark lines....
