I only have one fish in my 90g reef tank. It is a coral beauty. I had 2 clown fish in there but got ick and died. Ever sience then the coral beauty hides all day. I never get to see him. Why is this and is there anything I can do to make him come out.

they pygmy angels, of which your coral beauty belong, are very cryptic fish. i had a coral beauty in my 75 that used to be up and he was always swimming among the rockwork, lookign for food. he would hang out in the back of the tank for most of the day, coming out very little, if at all! it should just be his normal behavior. does it come out during feeding? try some formula one food, after feeding this mine always came out.
good luck

I don't know if this would help or not because I have more fish but you might try floating some nori or seaweed select in the tank to lure it out. I float a piece every day and my tang, coral beauty and even my sixline wrasse pull and peck at it for hours as it floats around. It might entice it out, they like seaweed.

How long ago did the clowns die from ick? Your tank could still be infected with ick, so your angel may have it too. This could be why its hiding? Do you have a QT tank, and if you do, it would be a good idea to leave the main tank fishless for 30-40 days. Usually when fish aren't acting normal they have a disease or somethin. This could be this answer to your problems my friend. :D

Sorry, I somehow got the impression the coral beauty was added after the ich problem. I would definately lure it out somehow and make sure it's not sick. I lost a rusty pygmy angel to ich and other than a few white spots it's main symptom was hiding and not eating. I hope yours is OK.
