I had a mushroom coral that died in my tank about three days ago and since I have lost two fish, a kole tang and a blennie. Now my Unicorn tank is sick. I have a seventy five w/ live rock and all tests come up perfect. I just don't know what to do and why this is happening. I have had the tank for 1 and half years and never had so much trouble. Is the death of the coral the cause? What can I do for the Unicorn tang who has a white milky substance on him?? Marine velvet possibly? Please anyones help would be appreciated..... I want to save him!

Well, as for the mushroom having anything to do with it,I dought it.I have had 2 fall off and no problems. How far in between were the deaths and were there any other signs such as not eating heavy breathing scratching darting or anything? At this point I would say internal parasites but please don't assume anything now!!A white milky substance where?

As I stated in the orginal message all water perameters are ok. The other livestock I have are a damsel, wrasse, two Perc. clowns, brittle star, C.C. Starfish, small eel, cucumber and a cardinal.(snails &hermits too.) They all seem to be doing well. I have a feeling I left the mushroom coral in too long. He may have been dead longer and I just didn't know it. There was no darting and there was some labored breathing with the previous two fish to die. Today the Unicorn looks a little better and he fed a little. He is having trouble seeing and his eyes look swollen, but not cloudy.
