I don't know which forum would be best for posting this and I can't recall if it was here or on a yahoo list I'm on. I asked how to catch fish you want to take out of your tank, either to treat or to trade, etc.
I got a suggestion to create a trap out of a soda bottle. Cut inverted Vs and round the tip off. Then put food in the bottle. I used a piece of an old stocking to put frozen food in and tied it so it would hang about the height of the hole. I had success with a bottle with many holes, but once a fish got out of that one. I like the idea of the single hole one, though.
You really have to have piggy fish like damsels for this technique, but it did work for me.
Hope someone else can benefit from this.
