Hi all.
I’m writing for my son as he has no internet right now. He has a 60 gallon tank and is going to do a FOWLR tank. It has been established for a couple of years but he decided to change from a reef to only fish. I have a couple of questions and I really would love your advice/feedback.
First, if God forbid his fish get ill with ick, will he be able to use copper based medicines without killing his live rock? If the live rock starts to die how will it affect his water parameters?
Now to the fish he plans to stock in his tank. He has been looking at some ORA certified tank bred clownfish and wants to know if he can put one each of an Ocellaris clown and a black Australian clown (which I know is really just a black ocellaris clown) if he introduces them at the same time. His tank has LOTS of live rock and plenty of caves and places for the fish to dart and dive.
The other fish he is considering for the tank are: Purple firefish, midas blenny, banghai cardinal and a “non jumping” fairy wrasse. Do you think these are all peaceful enough and will do well together? Also is there a certain order he should put the fish into the tank?
I anxiously await all of your expert advice. Thanks so much for your help!
