Fish died 1-2 weeks after addition to aquarium

I added 4 new fish to my aquarium at Christmas (presents). They were a flame angel, royal grama, yellow tang and green chromis. I already had a blue tang and percula clown and blenny. After 1-2 weeks they started to die off and now I only have the chromis. My water was tested by 2 different aquarium shops and found to be good. My blue tang, clown and blenny were previous aquarium residents for 5 months. I have two soft corral that are ok as well as snails and crabs. What happened???

Sorry for your loss. How big of a tank is it, and how old? What is your setup like: filtration, lighting, etc? You should invest in your own test kits. Often times what's 'good' water quality for a pet store isn't really so good. Monitoring water parameters is one of the most important maintanance steps to do.

Could be anything from too much too soon, to bad water conditions. Please post some of your perameters to know for sure. Need more info. What size tank?

From his previous post the tank is a 55 gallon.
That many fish probably lead to an Ammonia spike, especially in a new tank.

Thanks Journeyman, I just looked it up. Yeah, that's way too many fish for a brand new tank.

The tank is 55 gal. checked the ammonia, nitrate and nitrite levels every week 4 weeks before and every 3 days after addition with no ammonia spike.
Tank was balanced prior to new fish addition. The blue tang and clown were healthy residents for 2 months prior to addition of new fish. I'm sick from the loss and they werent cheap either.
I dont want to restock anytime soon until I know what caused the die off and can correct it.

In the future, don't add so many fish at once. You should only add one fish at a time, especially in young tanks.

Hmm..
How old are your test kits? I'm really surprised you saw no increase in Ammonia.
Your fish selection was troublesome for a 55 gallon, but that's not the issue here.
Any illness or odd behavior? Were fish showing any signs of distress?
