ok well today i bought a true percula onyx clownfish and at the lfs he seemed perfectly healthy and i acclimated him correctly i left him in the bag in my tank for about 30min so he could get use to the temp.........then i did the dip method for about an hour and then put him in my tank .......... the problem is he only like to swim on top like as to breathe for air and now he is just laying on the sand bed moving.........he is not sideways yet. Is this what they do to sleep? or is he dying?

i could be wrong, but i read on here i think that when you put new fish in your tanks they might look like they are dead , by laying on the side etc... and then they will get out of it

Did you test the water from the LFS for SG and PH ?
Some LFS keep their SG pretty low,so an hour and a half can be too soon.
Imagine,it could be quite a shock to go from 1.19 to 1.025 in a short while{for example}.
How is he doing today?
