I make my own fish food. and i was wondering if it was a good idea ???
INGREDINETS:
chopped up clams
chopped up shrimp
chopped up squid
I chop everything up very fine, all together then i stick it in a freezer safe bag and flaten it out and store. my main Q. is , is it good for my fishes health?? and will this blend of food make my fish grow any bigger or faster than feeding them other fish food?? like brine shrimp and silver sides ??

There are alot of people who make their own foods.
I would say you would be better off adding some supplements/vitamins in there and also garlic.
Garlic helps to fight ick and also to help sustain a healthy immune system.
The vitamins helps with immune system, and also color and growth.
If you're making it from scratch, add these things in before freezing, it just makes it easier.

LFS should have something... Ask them what supplements they use. I use something called "boyd's vita-chem". It's like 8 bucks a bottle. You could just add that to your food before freezing...
Yup, garlic like the people garlic. It entices the fish to eat the food (I dunno why) and it also promotes a healthy fish and helps immunity. That is why alot of store bought food features garlic. Buying garlic from the LFS is pricey... I would think you can use garlic from the grocery store. Either just the juice or Food process it til it's TINY TINY TINY and use that.
PM Cranberry. I believe she makes her own food, and also, PM Beth. I think she makes her own too. They can explain it better than I can, and also, maybe give you some recipes. Make sure to ask what vitamins they use, I think Cran uses the people kind but I could be wrong.
