Curious about frozen brine shrimp for my 2 hippo tangs and tomato clown. I ran out to local store (instead of regular reef store) & got frozen brine shrimp (San Francisco Bay brand) and gave them a treat from the usual seaweed and flake food and woke up this AM and when lights went on I had diatom on some of my LR and was pi&#ed. Have watched my top off water etc for phosphates etc and thought I had diatoms in control. All water perims are OK but I read the package shrimp came in and it stated Tropical fish food and states it is collectd daily, cleaned in fresh water to remove the salt. Package also states that moisture in package is 92.5%. Might be nitpicking but is there a certain brand to use or not to use.
