i saw this fish today at the Long Beach aquarium and it looked very interesting. What type of fish is this? Thanks in advance.

It's a filefish... forgot what species. They are very difficult to keep alive from what I understand.

Such beautiful coloring. Are there any reef safe fish with similar coloring? I'm looking to add some colorful fish to my reef tank

It’s a ‘longnose’ or ‘orange spotted’ filefish (Oxymonacanthus longirostris) – a uniquely colored fish that is quite hard to keep in captivity because it is an obligatory coral eater with a specialized diet of acropora polyps. For the sake of the fish and your tank, I would definitely look for something else.
