I am going to get some fish for my smaller 15 gallon tank today. I thought about getting two clowns for it. Does anybody have any other suggestions? Will two ocellaris clownfish eventually be too big for this tank?

15 gallons is perfect for a sea horse if you are feeling froggy!! The clowns might get a little cramped in there after a few years.

Yeah I thought they might get a little cramped eventually. I read something that said 20 gallons was the minimum. I'm just kind of anxious because I have had my 75 gallon for 5 months and have not been able to set it up yet. (#1. wasn't ready. #2 needed room painted) I couldn't wait so I setup a 15 gallon in another room. Finally, I will be able to setup the 75 next week. A sea horse would be cool but I heard they were hard to keep. Can you keep inverts with sea horses? I thought they didn't like anything but other sea horses?

As long as the other inverts don't outcompete the Sea Horses for food, they'd be fine. I would suggest Scarlett Hermits because of their good nature. I've heard horror stories of Blue Legs attacking the tails of Sea Horses when competing for food.
seahorse . org has a ton of info, please read EVERYTHING be remotely considering getting one.

If you are just starting this hobby, I wouldn't suggest getting one. They are very hard to keep, like you said, and are only for the advanced aquarist. They just need PERFECT water conditions.

A pair of false perculas (vs. true) would do just fine a tank that size. They actually do not need alot of swimming room and live happily in anything over 10 gallons according to the trusted book "Clownfishes". You could also go woth a pair of firefish or other gobies in that size tank.

OK, maybe that was fuzzy- I meant a pair of false percs OR a a pair of gobies just in case anybody was about to think I was crazy for suggesting you add 4 fish to a 15 gallon tank today.

Agreed ... IMO a pair of occellaris or true percs would do fine in a 10 gallon also.
