where did it come off at. if its at the top of the filter it wont help. you will actually have to pull the intake up and casing that goes over the propeller should have a attachment there. just make sure you dont break anything so if it doesnt work then it can go back together. mine had the shut off in the middle but I took it off also onthe iside of the filter.

ok thats a change in design since I got mine or just because it the smaller one. sorry that you went through all that just to find out you can turn it off.
you might try to move the direction of the spraybar ( or can move the spray bar) ?

well thats not it. honestly I am out of options on this one. if you could leave the filter down for a few hours you could try to silicone the holes or some sort of epoxy just have to make sure its dry before starting it back up. but thats my last optionthat I know to even try other than a new filter.

Before this one i used some sort of a millenim filther, it had two places where you put the carcrages, and i did not have a bubble problem for the two days i used it, would you recomend that i trade for another?

I have never used thoughs filters. but I think there is something off because none of the filters I had ever put any bubbles in the water unless the water level was down below the outlets.
I currently dont have any filters on my tank but with the amount of LR you will need one.
I have used the emporer the pengiun and the skilters and out of all of them I like the emporer the best myslef. what you might see about is a HOT canister filter. I have a lot of luck with those and I still use it. I also have 2 emporers on my 50 gallon that have been going for a,lost 3 years now.

My blue velvet damsils did kill eachother, along with a talbolt damsil. Maybe it was the blue fin that was killing my chromis, but everything that i read says that they are peceful.
