fish keep getting stuck in the power heads

i came home tonight only to find my trigger fish nose stuck in my power head intake, i thought he was dead i pulled him out and he swam away and then was in a shock state for about 2 hours and now hes doing good, well this is the second trigger that did this the other one didnt make it, i also had a clown fish do the same thing is there something i can put over the intake to keep them out and has anyone else seen this happen to there fish thanks for any help

What type of powerhead is it. They do make cylindrical sponges that can be placed over the intakes of many powerheads. I would have thought a trigger could get himself out of a situation like that.

Yup...check into some type of cover for the intake. Some powerheads can be serious problems for smaller fish if the intake is exposed. I've lost a few fish to them and now try to have some type of sponge on the intake to prevent problems.:cool:

Thanks for asking this question! I lost 2 snails (one was my Mexican Turbo) :( for the same problem! I'm going to attach those cylindrical pieces today!

I always heard that if a fish got stuck to a powerhead then there was probably something wrong with the fish beforehand. sick? I don't think a healthy fish can get stuck to a ph, but I could be wrong.
