Fish needs out of display but QT isnt ready yet?!

I am glad that he ate. That is a good sign! Keep up the good work with him. Definitely get a cover on that QT. They are known jumpers.
As for the purple in the silicone, have you ever used medication in that tank?

No meds! It is BRAND NEW! Like I just set it up. It cycled fairly quickly because all the water and the filter came from my 10gallon qt, I just bought this 20L so I could qt more or bigger fish if ever needed, and since ***** was having there dollar a gallon sale, at 20 dollars, I couldnt pass it up. Besides my 10gallon QT was a reptile tank, and the super thin glass always scared me.

This guy is just not getting any better at all, wont eat and refuses to swim, he just drags himself accross the bottom if he moves at all.
What should I do?

Have you checked the water readings on the Qt? It is incredibly hard to tell if there is something wrong, or if he is just miserable. Can you see anything on him? Do you keep the lights on? If he has nothing showing then something isn't right. Do you have a power head in there?

There is a hang on powerfilter and a mj 600 in the tank. No spots or frayed fins or anything, im at a complete loss as to what to do. He just refueses to eat or swim its very weird.
