Fish not playing well together

I purchased a Lemon Peel tang yesterday and did not realize they do not play well with Yellow tang...Hope they make friends before one gets killed...So far the Yellow tang is winning.

Maybe because they look similar to one another. I know for a fact that some fish attack fish that have a similar color or shape.

Do you mean a lemon peel angel? I haven't heard of a lemon peel tang, but could be wrong. I agree--the similarity is going to be an issue, probably never ending. Yellow tangs can be very territorial to any new fish, but one so similar even more so, IMO. Do you have a QT just incase?

I had a Kole Tang and a elbi(?) dwarf angel and the tang killed it fast. Even rearranging rocks didn't help.

Yellow Mimic, Mimic Lemon Peel Tang - Acanthurus pyroferus
The large yellow tang I have is winning quickly...the Lemon peel is tore up pretty good.

Man, im surprised, in a 240 gallon? I was at a lfs the otherday and I was watching a yellow tang whoop on a trigger. Same sizes.
