Sure you can, just stay away from similar species. A yellow, purple, regal, kole, tomini are some to choose from. Stay away from Sohol{gets too big for your tank}, clown, powder brown, whitecheek, achilles. I also would not suggest a naso in a 125.

Yep no naso, unicorn, clown, sohol, and achilles. I'd go with 1 of (purple, yellow, or sailfin tang) and a blue hippo and a kole eye tang or gold rim would all be compatible.

If you want my personal opinion? I personally would not rock the boat if I had a beautiful healthy powder blue tang. With all the other fish choices out there...not worth it, IMO. Because if there is the hint of a problem, it could be a big problem with a powder blue.
I would also definitely not recommend it if you are not in the habit of doing a QT on all your fish.
In theory you certainly could add a different type of tang, but there will always be a risk. You have to prioritize what is important and accept the risk of losing it.
But that is JMO...a healthy powder blue is spectacular and not worth losing, IMO.

bottom line for housing multiple tangs is they should be of the same size roughly and add at one time. you may need to take out the pbt and rearrange rock work alittle then add you new tang(s). the established one will be territorial to the other if you do not. Also agree about not rocking the boat if you have a thriving pbt

Ok I'm going to agree with ophira. You got a sucess with a very hard tang. I wouldn't change a thing and add other fish like a foxface and dwarf angel.

I'm going to draw out the Tang Police, but I have 4 in a 180 and they are all fine.
You should be alright with two, just don't pick one that will be a fast grower.
