I would probably axe the cleaner wrasse also. Not enough fish to keep it well fed. IMO.
I like high school girls, I get older and they stay the same age.
Love that movie
Well this avatar has become a hit. You are the third person to drop the greatest movie quote ever in a thread that I have posted on.

I know this is a hard question and it depends on what kind of fish I would be adding but about how many fish could I adventually have in my tank after its established after a while? And would a yellow tang be okay for a 75 gallon tank? I love the tangs but which ones would work in my 75 gallon tank?

I would think that a 75 gallon tank would be the bare minimum for a yellow tang. As far as how many fish you can house? Not sure if you will get an exact number. All depends on how much time you want to spend changing the water. If it were my 75 gallon tank this would be my stock list. I will try to base it off what fish you have already said you like.
2 false percs
yellow tang
sixline wrasse
Goby or Blenny
I would say that you would not be overstocked and eventually if you wanted you could go reef with those fish.

I actually like all them fish you named so thats a good start for me. Could I switch the yellow tang out for a naso or hippo you thing? Which tang is the easiest to keep and reef save?
And to start a reef tank what would I need, just better lighting? And is a reef tang alot more maintnace or does everything in the reef help clean the tank?

yes. if you to go reef eventually you would have to upgrade the lighting and it is also more work. don't know if its harder per se, but def more. by what I've read tangs need lots of swimming space. the one hippo tang that I had was a out right bully don't know if it was just the one I got or not.

Not a tang expert by any means. So I will leave those questions for someone else.
Going reef? Better lighting and a closer look at your water parameters. Right now you probably only have the basic test kit (PH,AM,Trites,Trates). Once you go reef you should test for phosphates, calcium and alk at the bare minimum. There are other tests but each test kit usually costs $20.
Fish only tanks might be able to get by with nitrates in the 40s. In a reef tank you would not have great success with higher nitrate levels.

Yeah thats what I was getting from everything before that you just need better lighting and to keep checking the water more. If I was going to start a reef tank in the future and got the better lighting, what are some easy things I can put in there? Thanks

Corals - mushrooms are a good start. Don't need a lot of lighting and will grow fast. If you don't feel like spending a lot of money on coral but want something that will grow fast and take up a lot of room in your tank..... XENIA!!!

for tang advice, i would only advise kole, spotted yellow eye, mimic eibli (amazing looking), tomini, and mimic lemonpeel. i dont think that a yellow tang belongs in a 75, but some people might disagree with me.

I would advise against a Kole...They are known to have low rates of survival
