fish sliding on rock?

I just put my 3" yellow belley pacific blue tang in my tank after being in quarantine and it has started to continously slide along the edge of the LR in the tank. I have not seen any of my other fish do this any help?

Sounds like hes scratching himself from ich. I think you would see the ich if its to the point of scratching though.

I have double checked the fish like ten times and i can't see any signs of ich on it. it did not do this while it was in the QT just after i put it in my 55g?

I had a hippo tang that did that.He never had ich though he always did it to the same rock at least once every time he passed it.

okay thanks i will keep an eye on it it does seem to have a pattern that it is only two rocks and the exact same spot on them
