Replace all 18 hermit crabs with snails.
Hermit crabs terrorize corals and will kill most snails when they get hungry or need a shell.
yea i heard the hermits eat coral but wasnt sure. man thats insane but can i have like 3 or 5

I don't know if they eat them, but they definitely knock them over if anything isn't glued down. I don't have any hermits, so it is up to you.

there are many kinds of hermits that are reef safe,I have red legged, and one awesome yellow and blue striped one. They are cooler in my opinion than snails, they move around more.... But they do knock over corals if they are not glued down securly. :)I vote crabs, just make sure wich ever ones you get are reef safe :)

Crabs are pretty much useless. On the other hand, snails will eat almost all day long. The only reason I would say get a crab is if you like the look of them.

I've been told the same thing, and I have a pretty big emerald in a BC29. He may protect himself from oncoming fish, but never grabbed or killed a fish.
