fish store Rocks cured?

what i've heard said is treat any rock as un-cured, no matter who said they cured it. If you watch them take it out of a tank with fish living in it or snails or something, most likely its cured though.

i would agree.. cure no matter what.. LFS get their shipment of rocks, they put them in the show tanks, most likely they don't sit there for more than a week or two... which means, they may not fully cured from the transit from the source to the LFS.. better to be safe than sorry.. especially if you're going to put those rocks in a tank that has fish already...

Many stores put a date on the tank of when they got the rock. This date will help you determine how long you have to cure it yourself, because no matter what, I think it's a good idea to cure it fully yourself as well just to be safe.
I would not trust many people. If it is a reliable source, maybe you can trust them. Otherwise, take extra precaution than usual and let it cure in your house for longer than you normally would. It can't hurt the rock, nor your tank.

There is a really nice saltwater only fishstore about an hour from me. They have all the dates wrtien above the bins of LR. The have about 6 or 7 bins full of LR from different places. Its really nice stuff.
