Alright I have my water peramiters finally settling down to o all around and I added my clean up crew for my 14 gallon bio cube. 2 blue legged herits and two pretty big turbo snail.(how big do these things get?) ANyways I was thinking about all of these fish. Percula clown fish, Clown Goby Citron, Fire Fish goby, Blue Damsels, Royal Grama. I know I can have all of them I was thinking of a combination of three. I will also add a shrimp but Im not sure what. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure, but I think your going to be told that three fish will be to much for a 14. I'm not expert, so I could very well be wrong, but I think two fish may be a better idea.

Damsels are pretty aggressive and territorial, I wouldn't recommend one for your tank. The royal gramma can be territorial, so if you get one, I'd recommend that he be put in the tank last, after the other fish has had a chance to stake out his turf.

Yeah I have been reading that about damsels. Anyway I know I want a perc clown, but for my second fish I am unsure If I want a Bicolor blenny, firefish goby and the clown goby citron. Does anyone have any suggestions on any of these fish? Keep in mind I am a newb. Thanks!

Yeah thats what I was thinking. Will the clown be ok if it doesnt have any coral for awhile? I want to get some zoo's when my tank gets more mature. Also whats the best food to feed these guys?

Clowns don't need any corals to host or survive. Zoos would be good in your tank, however, I think in some cases (like mine
) your clown will try and host your zoos which can cause hyper-melanization.
As far as feedings - Formula one pellets seem to work well. Also, I give my guy some frozen mysid two-three times a week. Ask your LFS what they are feeding and make sure to ask to see a your fish eat before you buy it. When you get your clown (I know it's a while down the road) it probably wont eat for a couple days, give it time!

What is hypermelanization? I am in a similar situation as Finner, maybe a step ahead, but I've never heard of that term (and bunch of others too).
Thanks,
Chris

Fenirir I googled the term...when clowns host with corals they can get some spots or mottled to their color since coral isn't the same "stings" as anemones. It sounds like it isn't harmful and doesn't occur with every clown, but just a small discolorization (sp).
