are you going reef or agreesive or comunity.
If your going aggresive I would get a panther grouper maybe a small lions or one big lion, sometype of eel, and maybe a couple tangs or a huge tamato clown.
For reef or comunity i would go with firefish, chromis, maybe a couple different types of clowns if you add them at the same time, Alot of inverts, A watchman gobies and a pistol shrimp are also nice to have, and Tangs.

i wanted a panther grouper, lionfish, pufferfish, eel, trigger(if possible) and wasnt sure what else. but if these fish are gonna constantly be going at it i dont want that. like when i had the groupers(before i gave them back) there was 1 that was constantly picking on the other 2, and i dont need spending all this money if hes gonna kill the other 2. the second i put them in he was attacking them. he was also a decent size bigger. is this common?

Groupers should all be the same or very similar in size and all should be introduced to the tank at the same time. My miniatus, panther, blue-lined, and blue-spotted all ignore each other in my 200, as I did this. Triggers are inherently evil, so it may pick on it's tankmates...or eat airline tubes, or heater tubes, or scrape it's teeth on the glass, or do any number of evil things. They are very unpredictable, but it seems to vary a lot depending on the particular fish. I would not risk it, but others may say differently. The groupers, lion, puffer, and eel should all be fine together, the trigger is the only one I'm worried about. It may also try to eat the fins of the lionfish, as they are enticing to some aggressive fish. A large tang would also be a good choice, such as a blue hippo. They are very colorful and are less aggressive than most other tangs. Atlantic blue tangs are also typically well-behaved in large tanks. Orangeshoulder tangs are also doscile, as well as convict tangs. Chevron tangs, Naso tangs, and sailfin tangs are also all good choices.

i had a blue dot, miniatus, and a blue spot(or are those 2 the same). 2 were red, one was dark blue(almost black), with lite blue dots. he was a mean mother. the second we dropped the 3 fish in the tank, he went for one chasing him. then he left him alone and went for the other. then in the morning when i read the forums i brought all 3 back. so i think im gonna stay away from groupers, they didnt seem to be too exciting. could be that it was just one day, but i dont want a fish that is gonna constantly attack other fish.
