Fishing for a Mantis

I tried the coke bottle trick last night to get rid of a mantis shrimp that I have recently discovered. I watched the bottle for 30 minutes and then went to bed. When I woke up I had caught:
-1 emerald crab
-1 cleaner shrimp
-1 certh snail
but no mantis. Any suggestions or tips that can help me get the Mantis out. I can't determine which piece of LR it lives in. I inverted the top of the Coke bottle and used shrimp for bait.

octopus are natural predators! probayl doesnt help much but oh well. um larger wrasses have been known to eat mantis, but you best bet is just to persevere and try and catch the little bugger!
god luck

Your best bet will be to try to find the rock in which he lives. After that is accomplished, take the rock out (CAREFULLY!), place in a bucket, and spray some carbonated water in the hole. Good luck.

Twinspot Maori wrasses will eat them. They're pretty and only get around 6". But they also eat snails and some starfish.
Try it again tonight...but this time, feed your shrimp and crabs first :D
