I still have a 4" sand bed. Tank is 1 3/4 years old.

do you find that the detritus from the rock gets trapped in the sand? I am afraid of that, thats why i went with a bare bottom. hope to keep a real clean sps tank. and "hope" is what I will do

I have only a small psychedelic mandarin and a yellowtail damsel in my 55 reef/invert tank and the maintainance is still pretty tough. I'd say I spend about 6 hours a week taking care of it.
