Fission Nano Skimmer

I have one that I used but I dont use it anymore. I have read that they work fairly well but I did not have great success with mine. It is really small and does not take up a lot of space which is nice and it is also very cost effective, I paid $30 for mine. I have read where other people have had a hard time getting to work correctly as well.
For the money it may be worth trying.

Pics in my 24NC. For various reasons I am unable to use it. Primarily because of evaporation. I lose about a gallon a day due to the lighting upgrade I have and without an ATO it is impossible to keep the skimmer adjusted and working properly.

hey jacks, the pic you posted of your skimmer, it is in the back box where the sponge goes? My wife (nikibunny) bought one for her tank, but we have no where to put it. I put it in the main part of the tank, but it emits so many micro bubbles I did not care for it there. Aslo I tried to use the elbows and they seemed like the were too short. I would like to put this in her tank but it seems as though I have no where to put it.
Can I remove that sponge with out affecting her tank too much?
We have approx. 14 lbs of lr, and about 3 lbs of sand. Every thing else is stock.

I can't get mine to work. It was working great for about 2 months, but now I can't get the water level right and it fills with water, and I don't think they work right full of water. I don't know what I'm going to do. No one can help me get it right.

You can put it in the second chamber instead of the first.

Mine never really was very efficient, I couldn't adjust it to the water level and it just filled with water, so today I took it out and stuck it in my 65 (just for the heck of it). I have a hydor-flo that sloshes up the water surface a couple times a minute, so I'm not really worried about O2 exchange.
