I'm trying to find out if I can put a flame angel fish in a ten gallon tank and if I can't what's the minimum size tank that fish has to be in. I'm not good at all with fish and this fish is supposed to be a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday, so i can't very well ask him. Somebody please help me!!!

The answer would be "no". But, you might be able to keep flame in 10 for a while, but this is not really recommended and should be done only under extreme circumstances. You need at least 30 gallon tank to comfortably house one.

20 or 30. They dont get remarkably big, but they do like to swim. Make sure you build up yer rock into some sort of a cave, cuz they like caves and archways alot.

Thank you gentlemen, well hell now I'm not sure what to do for his birthday but I guess I'll just have to think longer. But I do have quite a collection of rocks and coral, it's pretty cute. Now if I was to put the flame angel in the 50 gallon tank, that would be ok right? But there's also a clownfish, a blue-green comet and a purple and yellow one I call Kobe. Couldn't tell you what it is, but anyway, I also have two brittle stars and I think a shrimp of sorts. Oh I also have a yellow fish that shoots rocks, but my question is even with all of that in there could I put that fish in there as well or would it be too crowded?

I think it would be ok considering as long as you have a good amount of live rock. I just picked up a flame(see my thread, "New Resident") and I have noticed that he does love to graze in and out of the live rock. Also as mentioned earlier the flame doesn't get to big, only like 2.8 inches so there's not much bioload there.
This is my 125 gallon with about 160lbs of Live Rock. He uses every bit of it.:happyfish
goodluck! :)

50 is fine, but so would be a 40 and watnot. That yellow and purple is probably a royal gramma. Those are great fish. I had one, but it died wen my tank revers siphoned all its water after a power outtage. Amazingly though, with a couple of inches water and an exploding heater, my lmb and yellow tang survived.
