I used to live in Plainview as well .. .the parking is soooo crazy at that shopping center. I go to mega pets a lot because it is near my office.

I was just in Pet Den yesterday. I've used them for freshwater and bird supplies and they've always been great. They are in the process of adding more salt water fish. I think I'd be wary of their Saltwater fish though. All of the tanks are marked CYCLING 1128 (give or take a day) and are also marked as having COPPER in them. The real kicker is that they have fish in all the tanks

Another good place is Mutts & Butts in Merrick. I've never bought anything there but they have a pretty nice set up. There is also Magic Isle in Centereach.

hi,
got my flame angel from pet warehouse about five months ago. at first would not come out of the rock now is doing great.
we have some xenia that i have been bringing to pet warehouse. it is growing like mad.
does anybody want a piece? we live in islip area.

does that stuff contain pods at all? what exactly is it?

i don't live in l.i., but here is my flame angel after 4 mos. he has grown about 3/4 of an inch and i only paid 39.00 for him.........

I have to add to this post that I have shopped Pet Warehouse (Maxima clam) and I am very happy with there selection. So far the largest selection of SWF that I have ever seen in person.

i find the chaepest place on the island AQUA HUT in coram fish and reef is always sick ICK if u take a good look u will see them ich and i mean ALOT country critters overpriced i payted $130 for my gsm pair been to petswharhouse once that when i had fresh and there salt was nice just havent been there in a long time a year.

Pet stop is on Jericho in Huntington. I mean is good but nowhere near the selection I saw in Pets Warehouse. They are probably the same distance from East Northport.

ur in east northport right u now the cemetery up by um im trying to remeber the rods name but by the V in the road u gotta go on the top part and u can tell them any saltwaterfish u want and they get it for u they have a nice koran angel big for $50 and really nice.

Not to but into this "Long Island Pet Store" thread... but about Flame angels....
How long can you "expect" them to live? I'm thinking about getting one. Are they difficult to sustain?
