What are the risks of having a flame angle in an established reef.
Mind you I have to many corals to name.
Thank you,

honestly, there could be no problems, or there could be major problems.
my coral beauty MAY be eating my xenia... is that seriously a problem? depends on how well you like xenia hehe.
someone i know got a rusty angel in his sps tank, and it attacked a mystery wrasse but left his corals alone.
it truly is wierd.

I'll have to keep a close eye on this kid. - I've had one in the past in a smaller reef, and never had any issues. - However today I told my boss I bought one, and he noted that he read that they can be serious problems.
This being news to me, I wanted to kinda get a whole view of the situation I'm in now.
I'm going to have to watch the little guy. - I have tons and TONS of xenia, he can eat as much as he likes as long as it continues to grow like the weed it is! :)
- Its a pretty weed though.

It really is hit or miss with flame angels. Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes you don't

I was one of the lucky ones.

Mine was a model citizen at first but now he is a bad boy. He will go down the row and nip my xenia 5 or 6 times as he swims by. He has picked at my clams, zoos and fights with my other fish. The good news is he hasn't done any damage to anything in my tank. I have so many corals that he doesn't pick on one coral enough to cause a problem. However if I ever see him touch my SPS he is out of there even if I have to use a hook and worm to get him out.

hahaha!
If he starts to cause problems, I'll remove him. - Nice thing is I have an acrylic tank. - This would give me an excuse to break down the tank for a day or so to buff/remove all the scratches.

Two birds, one stone. - GREAT excuse! :)
