has anyone had any experience with dwarf angels nipping at corals? i recently purchased a nice colony of star polyps from my lfs but they have yet to come out. i'm curious if my flame angel is nipping at them, has anyone ever heard or experienced this? i know that he destroyed a feather duster that i made the mistake of adding to my tank.

Dwarf angels are hit or miss within the same species. One may be the best and another a terror. I did read here that some members had the "model" citizen flame and a year later it started nipping. Just have to keep an eye on them, but if it already went after a feather duster IMO, I would be weary. With that said, when you say starburst polyps, is that green star polyps? If so, these may take a few days or close to a week to get comfortable enough to open up, that is if all water parameters are ok, how are your parameter? HTH

they're brown. well, they were at the pet store, haven't seem them since i bought them, i'm assuming because the flame angel won't give them a chance to get comfy. amm, trites, trates are at zero, ph at about 8.2, salinity at about 1.024. all my shrooms are doing great, which reminds me of something i saw the other morning while the lights were still off, my gsm was getting cozy in my hairy's, i was stoked. no class tonight so first priority is to catch the flame, and take him back. wish me luck!
