Ummm...do i have to have live rock with my flame angel?...i have brine shrimp..blood worms...and awsome fish flakes.

yes.....you should have LR period IMO, and a very well established tank, id recommend nothing less than a year old tank with 1.5lbs of LR per gallon, and really nothing smaller than a 75 IMO, some may say diffrently but in my experience with them(i lost one)

i totally disagree i have had this flame angel for 1 year with no lr and hes doing awsome.The only reason i asked is cause my lfs told me i have to have it .

ok well your entitled to totally disagree, its your opinion, but there is a reason why your LFS is telling you LR is needed, and as well as just most books and info on them say the same thing

All dwarf angels should have LR in their environment. They are a very active fish and spend every bit of daylight foraging the reef, or in our case the LR in your tank. Dwarf angels are also a very skitish fish and should have rockwork to dive into when they feel threatened. These things are needed for the well being and overall happieness of the fish. A happy fish will be less likely to come down with infection.
I say LR is a must for dwarf angels.
