I have a reef system that is about four months old, a 40 showtank. I have the live rock filtration, bio-wheel aand skimmer. The tank has been healthy and water quality is very good six fish and twoo inverts share the tank. the Flame eats well and is active, but the pectoral finns seem to be feathering away the color is good, and there are no other parts of the fish being affected. Also noe of the other fish in the tank have any symptoms, or problems at this time. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I have a Flame angel too. Maybe you should feed them vitamins. I buy vitachem for Boyd Enterprises. It's great for fin regeneration.

Flames like to pick on live rock and also like algae. Is your live rock in the tank or sump? Give it a varied diet, vitamins should help, and make sure none of the other fish are picking on it. Otherwise frayed fins can mean poor water qaulity.
