flame angel

Just got a new flame angel. I need know what type of foods to feed him.I've een feeding him Formula 1and 2 switching each day.Should I put some seaweed selects in as well? He is in a 40 gallon tank with 60 lbs. of lr , so he can graze as well.

my flame has the same eating habits as the tangs. He foreages all day and eats meaty food when offered. Great color and good tank mate.

I too have a new Flame Angel. Got him Thursday. He ate for the first time on Sunday. Some Brine Shrimp Plus flakes. He wouldn't eat the frozen Prime Reef - maybe because it was soaked in garlic.
I hung some Seaweed Selects from a clip on Saturday and it doesn't appear he has eaten any of that.

just curious, I got mine right at this site a while back, tough to get a good pic of him, mine is a large one, eats everything, loves new spectrum pellets,

Got him at Marine Life Designs.He's eating the spectrum pellets too.
You said you got him on this site. Were you happy with the product?Do you buy fish from other sites?
I'm interested in buying fish online, but just a little nervous. I never done it before. I'm sick of the crappy fish you see at the fish store.

I got one from here 29.99 free shipping, and its one of the nicest Ive ever seen, also ever hear of Fish Empire in coral springs?Another good source for fish, no copper in tanks,and all tanks plumed separetly,nice setup

no 75 bucks for free shipping, but 2 or 3 nice fish and your there
my blue spot tang,spotted hawkfish, all my starfish, and trochus snails are from here too

How many times do you feed your fish? I heard ever other day , to insure good water conditions. I've been feeding mine everyday.

plum- do you have any compatability issues with your flame? I (or my girl) wants a emporer real bad. She won't leave me alone about it. I know they are reef safe as juvy's but I'm concerned about his response to my flame, who is definitly staying. I know in a couple of years when it mature's it won't be coral safe, but I intend to get a bigger tank hopefully by then.

I feed heavy everyday, if you saw all the food I throw in everyday you would freak, but the tank and fish handle it fine,3 anemones,hungrey corals,all my fish get along, flame gets along with all others no problems,

cool! how much food? multiple cubes I assume due to those big ass tangs.

ok everyday,
3 small scoops of spectrum pellets
at least 2 cubes of meaty foods,
1 cube mysis shrimp
some shrimp pellets
a 3x3 cube of frozen silversides,
a sheet of seaweed of my choice, green, purple,or red,
all soaked in Zoe, and selcon,
sometimes more than above

WOW !!!! No obvious problems I can see. No algae or diatom outbreaks. How lonf has the tank been up and running.
With all my fish and inverts I have been feeding one cube of frozen and sometimes a sheet of seaweed. I think I am going to start increasing bit by bit.

Looks good so far.
I ordered it yesterday at lunch and got it today at 9 am.
The only problem is I also got a clarkii and it is as big as the flame.
I do prefer smaller fish to watch them grow.
Oh well.
