Flame Angle with Huma Trigger

I was wondering if I intruduce a small Huma Trigger after I have already intruduced a Flame Angle would it work out?

well first of all welcome to the board and its angel not angle, and no i dont think it would work, too small and the angel would get eaten, but then if depends how big yuour tank is... how big is it?

If your tank is big enough for the trigger, say a 100 or 75, then your trigger would do great. But the angel would hafe to be bigger than the trigger, or else the trigger would have a nice sea food dinner.

Plan to keep it with very few fish. I would like to start with a few compatible fish and add a 1 inch Huma Trigger last.

well clowns honestly could pick on a 1 inch huma and so could the tang, sounds weird but somtimes my yellow tang takes food rite out of my clown triggers mouth. i dunnno i think it is a bad idea, triggers and tangs in a 46, but thats my opinion.

It would work for a little while, then when the trigger gets bigger he would do some damage to the flame. Good Luck

The tang and trigger may work for a while, but that trigger will grow fast, and when he gets biiger get a big tank, or fish will be missing.

If in the future my trigger makes dinner out of my clown’s and my yellow tang what can I introduce into the tank that will work with the Huma trigger? I do not mind just having the trigger and one other fish once the trigger has gotten a certain size. This the main reason I started my aquarium was to get the trigger.

snowflake? and i think the tang would be ok if the tang goes in first well i mean it wouldnt get kill

Welcome! I'll share my experience with you. Many years ago I had a 30 gallon fish-only up and running for quite a while with 1 small yellow tang and two small damsels. The stupid guy at the LFS sold me a 4-5" huma triggerfish saying it would be fine in my tank!!! It actually worked for about a half a year surprisingly enough - that trigger was awesome - and he and the y. tang got along nicley. But remember this is a 30 FO gallon with pathetic filtration, overstocked, and huma triggers are terribly messy eaters all this = ammonia nightmare!!! the whole tank decided to re-cycle itself, and the ammonia poisoning eventually killed every one of those fish except one three-stripe damsel who's still with me today. Can we say, devestating!!
Afterward: My 30 gal now has a yellow tang, clown and y-t damsel. The tang will soon outgrow the tank, so I'm in the process of purchasing a 75 for him that will be a FOWLR.
My conclusion: Triggers, angels, and tangs are my personal three fav types of fish, and often you can get them to get along. This would not be the problem. The size of your tank would be a problem. I know you set up the tank so you could have the trigger, but why not stick with a tang, a flame angel, and your clowns. Then Get a 60gal+ aggressive tank and there you can keep a trigger, eel, whatever else you want that's messy and aggressive. I know I'm bringing bad news, but I really hope I, and everyone else, can save you from the devestation and heartache I went through by adding a trigger to a small, overstocked tank. I really hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice I was thinking of starting with a small Huma and then after it grew it would give me an excuse to get a bigger tank. ;)

Equipment 46g Bow, Fluval 304, Berlin Protien Skimmer and very few tank mates.
Is it possible to have a Trigger? :p

It's possible, if your tank is not overcrowded. BUT, it will get to big, and you will hafe to get a bigger tank, or trade in the trigger.
