Flame Hawk breathing heavy!

He hasn't been himself lately and is breathing very fast. He has no signs of disease or discoloration. Anything? Thanks, Donnie

Mine always looks like he's just run a two-minute mile! Don't know if it's normal or not, but I've had him for three months and he otherwise looks great. I attribute it to the hyperness of mine. He's always darting around the tank.

He used to be the same way. Now he just chills and won't eat, he used to be the first and the most aggressive eater of them all. I am really bummed, he is a family favorite and it doesn't look good.:nope:

Hard to say what might be wrong with no other symptoms. Notice any aggression going on? Take a magnifying glass and give the fish a real close look to see if you see anything: torn fins, red gills, parasites, body slime, bites, etc.
What about the other fish in the tank? How are they doing? And your tank conditions, how is it? How long have you had this fish?
