does anyone on here know anything about them? care instructions, food, lighting requirments? Basically I have no idea about them but I think they look cool and would like to get one but I need input first.

They rarely survive in captivity.

They are filter feeders and very difficult to keep in aquariums.

They seem to waste away even in the most well kept tanks.

their natural life span is about three years and most specimens you find in pet stores are already 2 years old. so even if you can support on properly you wouldnt generally know it because its going to die in a short time anyway.

They look nice but will die in your tank. Don't waste the money. If you have proper lighting and water conditions get a clam.
