hello, I recently purchased a flame scallop and it's doing great. I think it has already found its, "spot" in the tank. I was wondering if it is necessary to spot feed it since I have an 8g?

Yes. It is absolutely necessary...in fact, they normally do not do well in captivity. Most people cannot keep them alive past about 8 month to a year. Try to feed it everyday. It need a good food for filter feeders.

okay thanks. I wasn't for sure if I had to or not but I already did it today anyway. I feed it plankton, and some frozen stuff that has different things in it.

Good luck with it. Let us know how it goes. Try to give a large variety of foods. And remember smaller is easier. Dont give it large chunks. Give it a quality filter food.
