Flame Scallop

Hi Donkeykong.
I don't know much about them. I tried a couple regular fame scallops and a couple electric flames scallops in about 98. None of the 4 lasted more then a few months. I found them at a lfs in Chicago for about $10 for the flame scallops & about $15 for the electric flames scallops. They did seem to act and respond the same. I never noticed any difference except for the electric arch or current or whatever it was.
I think http://www.ffexpress.com sells them for about $13 & $17 at the link below. They are redoing their site and I had a lot of trouble moving around their site. If you register now they are giving a $20 off your first order on their new site. I believe it is a limited time offer.

I've had 6 flames. All really cool. They all came to the same demise... and unfortunatly it was at my hands.
They all live for several months and showed signs of growth. very happy scallops. Yes all but 1 hid within 3 weeks, but by adding 6 I could find 1 from any angle in the tank... but six on the move make one hell of a sand storm.
Any ways I had to re arrange some rock to fit a new coral and moved 2 scallops... then figured "hey while im here I'll move the other 2" Those 5 shriveled and died with in 4 days of moving. I never added the new coral or anything else... no changes in the tank other than rotating a piece of LR 90 deg. The sixth scallop moved itself up against my brain coral... my brain began to bleach from the contact so I moved the scallop to where he was before... no one ever touched air or skin. Dead in 6 days.
I would suggest not moving them unless you are ready to let them go. I haven't added any new ones 'cause I probably would just futz with em anyway,
Great additions though.
