flame scallops

my lfs is selling flame scallops for 75$ isn't that a little outrageous

Thats nutz........i had 6 of them but 5 only lived for @ 8 months??? i still have one that has never moved and i still looking good....i think i got them for $15 ea. at a lfs here....

that price is idioticly high, I bet they are "large" too. which means they are old. flame scallops only live three years and grow extremely fast so if they are very large (about 3 inches) they are almost dead. what a joke.

Yeah 5-15 should be going rate. Maybe he meant to price it as 7.50 instead of 75?

Go buy a bunch elsewhere and take them to that LFS for store credit.. if they are selling them for $75 maybe you can get $25 credit each

Coulda been the electric flame scallop... they are priced more steeply and look similiar but have a blue zapping line going accross somewhere of electricity or something.

Agreed. But I want to say the highest I have seen for those is ~$35.

$75 is just nutty. I bought both of mine for like 10 or 15 a piece, and 15 for my blue flame scallop.
