Tap water can contain many types of contaminants like metals that can build up over time.

I used tap water along time....I haven't for about 2 years (I moved, tried the tap, and boy had problems). But initially I didn't really have issues. It is hit or miss. Not a lot of a security blanket.
But I am not throwing any stones.

I use "tap" water .. well it comes out of the sink..or the hose spicket..or the sprinkler valve or what I thought was a well tap but they all go through the water softening system so I just have low PH water. thanks culligan for the installation of a softening system for my GRASS lol

The tap water isn't the big problem here, it's the antibacterial chemicals the hose is treated with.

Like Bang said, good to final leak test it.
However, I can't say for sure where the other end of the hose is actually connected. If I look close, it looks like one of those 2000 GPD RO units is in the background, but can't see the holding tank.

You may have a point. Place by me does tank maintenance as well and they have a van with a tank and hose setup in it. They can premix, setttle, stabilize and then bring the water to whatever tank they are setting up or maintaining and put it in. Kinda cool actually. And I do see the corner of that RO possibly. Give him credit, maybe the tank is just out of frame...

Looks like someone wanted a flame war and you snipped it in the bud. Nice

Why yes I did add that Ro unit. Just as no one can confirm in the original picture that the hose is actually connected to an outside faucet or not. Pictures are worth a thousand words, just not always the accurate ones... LOL
