Flase Percula Clown

What is the difference between False Percula and Percula clown as I have heard both. Which is the hardier one and if you have a pair do they need a anenome.

Neither has to have an anemone and the false perc is hardier. True prec usually have brighter orange and thicker black lines. Both are good fish to have.

The true percula will have black outlined on his white stripes, and the false is definitely hardier.

What r the scientific names.

True Perc = Amphiprion Percula
False Perc or ocellaris = Amphiprion Ocellaris

When I bought my Percs they were very young (about 1/4 inch). I thought they were false percs at the time because they were mostly orange and white with thin black outline on the white bands. Now 6 months later they have grown considerably [2 inches now] and have developed the colors that are witnessed on the true percs (more dark orange/black areas, thicker bands of black). Is this normal that very juvinile clown fish are harder to distinguish?
