Rainford's Goby, Amblygobius rainfordi, also known as the Rainfordi Goby, Court Jester Goby, and the Old Glory Goby, features a green and blue body with orange stripes running the entire length of the body. It is best housed in a tank of at least twenty gallons, plenty of live rock, a sandy substrate, and a tightly sealed lid to prevent escapes. They are best kept as solitary individuals unless the tank is large enough to accommodate many. They eat a carnivorous diet consisting of crustaceans, filamentous algae, and brine and mysis shrimp. Rainford's Goby is quite small so it should be housed with peaceful tank mates that will not bully it. This is a wonderful fish for a beginner aquarist because it is hardy and easy to care for while being beautiful and fun to watch.
