Flasher and solor wrasse problems.

I have had my solor for about a month now and today i got a a Mcosker, or flasher wrasse and the solor won't leave it alone, chases him back into the rock work when he comes out to explore.Everything I have read says they can be housed together
My tank is a 150, so big enough for 2 fairies I would think
Anyone have experience with these 2 in the same tank?

I dont have any experience with those two fish, but do have a little with fish being aggressive to each other. If you can catch and take the solar wrase out and rearrange the rockwork some, that might help as it will erase any territories the fish have claimed and make them on a even playing field. If you cant catch the fish then possibly still changing some rockwork around will still benefit you.

Yeah, I can move some of it around, its kinda tough with corals though, you have them exactly under the right flow, lighting etc, plus they do adhere to the rocks, so not alot of rearranging can be done, and taking this fish out of 200 lbs of LR is no easy feat, so i will try to redecorate as much as I can if the solor doesn't settle down, he is usually so docile and easily intimadated, so this mean streak came as a suprise to me

This may sound ridiculous (I know it does) and may be impossible in your size tank, but this works for me. I have a yellow damsel that thinks she is the tank mafia. When she gets after someone, I put my hand by the tank like I am going to shake hands (flat, palm in, fingers pointing toward the tank, thumb up)and wiggle my hand to imitate the tail flipping that she does. She goes back into the rocks. I have to spend a couple of hours at it, off and on, until she gets over whatever the issue is.
I have also used the rearranging of rock when adding new fish. It works well.

I will try the wiggle hands, it doesn't sound ridiculous at all. I noticed that when I see him being aggresive and go up to the tank and point my finger at him and tell him to knock it off ( keeping fish is turning me into a nut case lol) he does retreat some, like i said, he is usually abit whoosy

I'm having the same trouble with an old six line wrasse attacking my new lunur wrasse. I keep chasing him away and he keeps coming back!

My solar is settling down now and accepting the flasher. Guess he just wanted to let the new guy know who was here first

I'm so glad! Fish aggression...
I think this relates a bit to the "can fish mourn" thread. They are intelligent little beings, in my opinion.
