Flashlight fish Pics!!!

hey, just wondering if anyone has a flashlight fish...i've seen them one at an aquarium, i think they're pretty sweet...any pics anyone????pleaseeeeeeeeeeee

I thought you were talking about taking pictures by flashlight after the main lights went out!

"Flashlight" fish :thinking: Are they freshies? I seem to remember seeing a fish at Newport aquarium that was in a dark display. They looked like their eyes were glowing!

I would say they are uncommon in hobbyists tank. Really needs to be a species specific tank. We tried to keep some when I worked at an aquarium but didn't have great success overall. Very cool fish for sure.

why werent ya able to keep em??? i wish i could have one, spending 100 for one is a bit insane for me though,lol.

I'm guessing the lack of success was from the fact that these naturally come from the very deep lightless world...none are CB...thus they are taken from the wild...they need very dark tanks...and they may have pressure problems.

My old LFS had one about a year ago in his show tank...then he closed down. It was under halides and eating flakes but man was that thang cool!!
