Flashlight trick

We tried the flashlight trick colored it red with marker. We waited about an hour. The creatures of the night began to come out. We saw a worm for the first time he was quite long. Any ID's and also a tiny little crab I think, he was really fast

the worm was most likely a benificial bristle worm (but there is always the posibility of something bad), but we would need a picture for a positive ID for that as well as the crab. either coudl have been good or bad.

it almost looked like an earthworm but it was really hard to tell against the rock. It was a pod not a crab saw it in the same spot he was just curled

just search it on google. peanut worms are good. they look like eathworms, but the end you will see is usualy tipped black.

That would be my guess too. Does it live in the rock and pick and the rock and the sand? Also, does it retreat quickly when the white lights go on?

Thanks, I didn't see the hole thing he was still partially in the rock

I have both. Some very thin pink long worms. they come up in the sand like a nightcrawler. I see them mostly against the glass. The peanut worms are a bit thicker black and white in the rocks. The head looks like an alien with 5 tenticles around the end. the crab thing may have been a scud. to me they look more like little grey shrimps.

I tried to see if it was out again but my choc.chip star was over the area I saw him at it was thin and I can't really tell his color since the light was red. but it looked tan or pink
