Flat worms.

OK. I need help. I was thinking I had some kind of weird algea growing in my tank and just noticed after weeks of vaccuming my sand and scraping my glass that I have a flatworm out break.
Please give me steps to get rid of these pests. I am reducing my feeding, light, and just did a water change. What eats them.
I'm really maxed on fish until I get the 240g up in a few months.

Darn Im not sure about a whole display tank, I know how to get them off of mushrooms though. Maybe try a product like Flatworm Exit or something like that, but I dont know a lot about it. I may be wrong, but I think it only makes them shrivel up and not go away, you need to remove them yourself. Not sure though, those pesky buggers are a pain.

A Blue Velvet Nudibranch eats them, but god luck finding one of those. And if you do let me know where.

Check the Hitch Hiker post in the archive.
Fish solutions are hit and miss. I've have a six-line wrasse that ate them up, and another that never even looked at them. The best way to get them under control is to suck out as many of them as you can in a series of water changes. You can then try Flatworm Exit to get the rest. Do research first, flatworms release a toxin when they die, so you need to try and get as many out as you can before using FE. You'll also have to run carbon and prepare another big water change after using it. FE also has some side effects, so you'll need to decide if you want to try it.
