Flatworm Exit Questions

I have some flatworms in my tank and I would like to get rid of them before I upgrade to my new tank. Currently I have a 72 tank and I'm upgrading to a 120. When I empty out my 72 I want to treat the reef rock and corals before they go in the new tank.
My plan is to use flatworm exit on the live rock and corals but not to subject the fish or inverts to the flatworm exit or the dying flatworms. I'm wondering how long does the live rock need to treated to kill the flatworms? I'm going to devote a 20 gallon container to just soaking the live rock and corals in with flatworm exit. I plan on running a canister filter with carbon on the container at the same time. Of course the 20 gallon container cannot hold all the live rock so I'm going to have to rotate rock in and out. Just wondering if anyone has any advice. Thanks

in my opinion, I'd take out the fish and do the flatworm exit in the 75, otherwise you risk cross contaminating your new tank if you do the flatworm exit improperly, along with putting more stress on your corals...
just my 2 cents... :)

I don't want to loose all 72 gallons of water. I'd rather just contaminate the 20 gallons that I'm treating the live rock in. I have to move the corals and live rock to another container anyways cause the new 120 is going in the same place as the 72. I just thought the best thing to do was to get rid of the water I added the flatworm exit to.

you won't lose all the water, you just need to do a good water change and run some carbon. the thing is, if you put all the water you have into the display then do the corals somewhere else, there's a very good chance you'll have flatworm larvae in the water as well, and then you'll be dealing with the same problem in a larger tank, in my opinion
